About

Urban computing is the embedding of information and communication technologies in the urban environment, which causes the physical surroundings to become digitized, dynamic, evolving and able to store information though opening up for the urban space to interaction design.

This blog is devoted to projects and thoughts from the design studio consisting of the 7 participants currently attending a full semester (30 ects) of the urban computing course at Aarhus University. The goal of this design studio is, besides learning about urban computing, to create and design for and to the intertwining of digital technology and the city with the special focus on the city as a space for digital services, citizenship, everyday life, culture, art and experience.

Our studio includes different profiles and people coming from different academic background, all with a common interest in information technology and humans.
